-Gastric Banding-
The surgery is to limit the amount of food eaten by tying the area where the stomach begins with a silicon band. In other words, by adding a adjustable gastric band to the upper part of the stomach, the holes in which food passes are smaller, reducing the amount of food consumed. It is one of the most popular high-altitude obesity surgeries along with gastrointestinal and gastrointestinal surgery, and was introduced in Korea in 2004 with the approval of the Food and Drug Administration. After surgery, the amount of meals is adjusted by inflating the balloon in the band.
